How Eating Sustainably Can Save the Planet with Jennifer Stojkovic
Jennifer Stojkovic is a Canadian-American activist and author of the book, The Future of Food is Female. She is known for founding the Vegan Women Summit, which is known for breaking gender bias and discrimination in business. She has a background in community relations which was developed in Silicon Valley at some of the world's top tech companies. Jennifer has since combined that experience and network with her passion for food in order to lead the charge toward sustainable food technologies. In her new book, she interviews 15 female leaders at the forefront of sustainable food projects including business owners, scientists, influencers and celebrities.
In this episode, Jennifer shares how her career in Silicon Valley helped her develop the skills needed to organize a movement. She details how she used those skills in combination with her passion for reinventing the food system to create the Vegan Women Summit and eventually writing her new book. She outlines the book and gives us an inside look of how the world could look if our food systems were reorganized. Jennifer later tells her story of growing up in Canada and moving to the United States. She even shares her love of the US National Parks and the Boys share which parks are their favorite.
