How Cole Swindell Went From Selling T Shirts to Country Music Star
Cole Swindell is a country music singer-songwriter from Bronwood Georgia. He attended Georgia Southern University where he began playing the local bars. Cole first broke into the country music scene after meeting Luke Bryan, a fellow graduate of Georgia Southern, and selling merchandise for him. While on tour with Luke, he would write songs with the hope of one day turning it into a career. He has had 12 songs on the Billboard Charts since he debut his breakout single, "Chillin It" back in 2014. His latest album, Stereotype was released in April of 2022 and has received massive success. His single, "Single Saturday Night" reached number 1 on the country Billboard Charts last year.
In this episode, Cole talks about how he first got into country music, from falling in love with the sounds of the 90s, to touring with Luke Bryan selling T shirts, to writing for other bands and eventually making his own artist career. He shares stories of writing on tour and being nervous to show his work to Luke and how those days paved the way for him to have such a fruitful career today. Cole also shares his favorite songs to perform live on stage. This is a great episode for any country music fan or anyone looking to break into the music industry as an artist.
